The current electricity rate for Industrial in Syria is 1,400 Syrian Pounds per kWh. This rate is set by the Ministry of Electricity and applies to all government-supplied electricity in this consumption tier.

Syria uses a tiered electricity pricing system to encourage energy conservation and provide more affordable rates for lower-consumption households. Residential users consuming under 300 kWh monthly pay a subsidized rate, while higher consumption and industrial use are charged at higher rates to reflect the true cost of electricity production and distribution.

Your electricity consumption tier is determined by your monthly usage as recorded by your electricity meter. Residential connections are categorized based on whether they consume under or over 300 kWh per month. Industrial and commercial connections are automatically placed in the industrial tier regardless of consumption levels.

Unlike imported fuel which is priced internationally in USD, electricity is generated and distributed domestically in Syria. The Ministry of Electricity sets prices in Syrian Pounds since all billing and payment is done in the local currency. There is no need for USD conversion as the entire electricity supply chain operates within Syria.

Electricity prices in Syria are adjusted by government decree, typically in response to changes in production costs, fuel prices for power plants, or economic policy decisions. Price changes are less frequent than currency fluctuations and are announced officially before taking effect.
